One-Shot Prompting

In one-shot prompting, you show the AI one example of how the task should be completed before asking it to solve a similar problem. This gives the AI a clearer sense of what is expected.

When to Use
One-shot prompting can be helpful when you need to guide the AI in a more specific direction, particularly if the task could be ambiguous without an example.
One-Shot Example
Prompt:
Add 4+4: 8
Add 3+3:

Here, we provide one example (4+4 = 8) to show the AI how to solve the task. The AI should use this as a template for solving the next problem (3+3 = 6).

Prompt:
Describe a popular tourist destination:
“The Eiffel Tower is a renowned landmark in Paris, France, known for its iconic iron structure and stunning views of the city.”
Describe a popular tourist destination:

In this case, the AI is provided with one example description (the Eiffel Tower) to guide its response. It should follow this example structure to describe another well-known tourist destination, like the Great Wall of China or the Grand Canyon.
